Had a good experience here, only thing is that it took pretty long to get helped. Other than that, everything went pretty smoothly. Arrive probably at a time of day when there won't be many people around, like in the morning. Then you won't have to wait as long to be helped. In an interesting spot in the mall, by the food court, but not hard to find.

It might be more fair to rate this office 4.5 stars but that's not possible here. Workers are generally friendly & polite. The guy sitting at the entrance basically greets you & tells you what line to take. I actually had to wait longer in a Canada Post line the day before so the wait was pretty reasonable. What they don't make clear is that you'll be waiting twice. The first line up is just to get to speak to a person who verifies that you have completed all documents. The next lineup is to actually submit documents & pay for your passport. That was a longer wait but there are plenty of chairs if you feel like sitting. Also, if you have someone with you or bored kids, the passport office is conveniently located next to the mall food court (also bathrooms nearby). Just outside the entrance to the passport office is a photography studio where you can get your passport photos done. I'm guessing it's extremely convenient if you've got a problem with the ones you brought with you. So … my minus 1 point is for having us stand in 2 lineups for a simple renewal when I could have shown the door guy that I had all of my documents completed etc.

Either come 30 minutes before opening time or come at a different time of day because if you show up around 8:30am there will be a line of people in front of you, especially on mondays and before holidays. Your experience here will depend on the employees you work with but your behavior and how you treat them will also make a difference. I showed up at 8am on a Monday and there were already 5 people ahead of me. By opening at 8:30am there were over 20 people behind me in line. I expected the worst after the reviews I read on here but I was patient and polite and received the same in return; it also helps to do your research and have exactly the forms and other documents you need before you get there or you will be in for a frustrating experience. Overall, the employees were great, they worked hard to help me and it was a pleasant experience.

I needed an emergency passport and the staff here made it happen! I really pushed the limits of time restrictions and was met with the best service I could have expected. Thanks to the entire team, I really really appreciate the staff here. Be nice and get nice service, seems easy enough!
