They have the BEST gravy for your poutine! The portions are good too. I accidentally got a medium and could not finish it.
Finally tried it after constantly hearing friends rave about it..... this is the most disgusting restaurant I’ve ever seen. Floors are revolting, walls, ceiling, fryer all absolutely disgusting. Covid protocol is non existent, no spacing, no attempt to reduce touch points and the main cook not wearing a mask. I should have walked out but felt guilty about walking in and having all 3 staff stare at me. I ordered two regular poutines and was hoping that the food might make up for the sorry state of that restaurant. Soggy fries drowning in gravy with kids lil squeakers cheese is not poutine.
La Belle Patate is the best poutine place I've visited in BC! The poutine is consistently good and the prices are unbeatable. On top of that the service is always top notch. To anyone visiting I highly recommend trying the spruce beer. Cheers!
My wife and I love to eat here, the burgers and fries are the best! But make sure you go when the owner is in. He and his coworker make great food and conversation alike. And they more than make up for any mistakes.
I will always love this place, all the staff are super friendly and do the best they can, the owner is a master of customer service. If you come once he will remember the time you came in even if you come in 5 years later. Easily the best poutine in Victoria as well, and the variety is out of control!
This spot is a hidden gem of greater Victoria. I haven't been happy with a poutine ANYWHERE ELSE in town. And the folks behind the counter are THE SWEETEST PEOPLE!!!! Support this local business!
