Went to Kernels in Mayfair, I've never been to one, took my grandson as we do movie night and usually microwave popcorn. And sadly before I even eat any of the popcorn I know I will never be going back. Ordered two large popcorn's and a medium and paid for them, and as I am trying to carry them I realize I need a bag for them, and the attendant says something to the effect of I am sorry I forgot to ask you if you needed a bag when you paid, so I am thinking he's going to give me a bag, but no, he is expecting me to pay 15 cents on my debit. Made my mind up right then and there I was never going back, and left juggling my three bags of popcorn.
CARTS Outreach has purchased popcorn for any special festivities i.e. Christmas, Easter, Canada Day to make this just a little more delightful for the folks we serve. The popcorn is always very tasteful and giant kernels. This popcorn makes these days a time of joy.
Kernels Popcorn has always been a childhood favorite of mine. I visit maybe once or twice a year as a treat. They have a nice selection of flavors and the staff are quite friendly, and willing to chat about their products if you need help deciding.
Used to be better before they moved locations. Hasn’t had the full selection in the last few visits and staff weren’t helpful.
