Island MMA is the the most well rounded training facility for all levels, and in all disciplines of martial arts. The world class instructors give such a complete approach to developing skill, that anyone interested in martial arts will find phenomenal value in their instruction (Men and women, old and young). The experience level of the instructors offers even the most elite athletes an opportunity to train with the best, and develop there skills under the guidance of these world renowned trainers. However each of them also has a very personable and humble approach to working with all levels of experience. This makes it a joy to train here your first time, and every time. I personally have been trained up from next to zero experience to the level at which I have been able to compete in a number of disciplines. This is highly contributed to more than just the physical training I have experienced, but also the atmosphere of encouragement and personal growth I have been placed in through being a member of Island MMA. I cant thank them enough.

I haven't been able to get in for a while, but I really enjoyed my time spent here doing recreational boxing and MMA. Jason creates a fun but safe environment where you can be challenged to the level you're comfortable at. Great instruction and safety is a real priority. Sparring was a lot of fun and there's a common respect among everyone training there. If you're sparring with someone of a similar level you can let it all hang out whereas everyone is very respectful and careful if they are sparring with someone of different weight or ability. Looking forward to getting back one day when my schedule allows it.

Great gym, friendly staff, supportive environment. When I first got into MMA, I really did not know what to expect. The coaches took things step by step and were patient and after months of practicing I actually won my first tournament. It was a great feeling.
