Technician told me I needed to buy a new electric pallet jack. Unit was driving forwards but not backwards. He said he had been doing this for a long time and was certain the drive motor was bad and was not worth fixing. A technician who has been doing this for a long time would certainly know that a DC motor that spins in any one direction is not broken - the polarity is simply reversed to make the motor go backwards. A call to brentlift and one broken screw later and we had a working forklift again. When I called the tech back to tell him we don't need a new forklift anymore he just said OK and hung up. Would never call them again.
