I love the store because of the varieties, but I just experienced something not nice. The store advertised their dehydrated mushrooms as 2.00 per Liang, which commonly understood as the weight name for 50 grams. So 1 pound (454 grams) equals to roughly 9 Liang, making per pound of mushroom costs 18.00. But - I was charged 24.00 per pound. I called back, the lady owner explained they don’t take 1 pound equals to 9 Liang, but 12, so 24.00 per pound, instead of my understanding of 18.00. Never heard of this , so, I went google. Well, yes, one Lian is 50 grams. But it also mentioned her way of calculation did exist, back over 100 years ago, in European Colonial time. They are not intend to cheat, I hope, but definitely tricky. Why not just simply tag 24 per pound? This strategy can go easily unnoticed unless you buy a large quantity. So , consumers, be careful.
