Wreck Beach is arguably the best beach in Vancouver as the nature of this Beast means that it is not overrun with people. This is a place where you don't need to be ashamed of your body and you're free to enjoy the Sun where the sun don't shine in a semi peaceful environment away from people constantly taking pictures. This is a great place where you can breathe and detach just for a moment as the waves roll in and the sun goes down.

Wreck Beach rivals Black’s Beach near San Diego, CA is probably as one of the largest clothing optional beaches on the North American continent. Unfortunately, I’ve only visited Vancouver during the winter months. And although I went to see Wreck Beach as there are several important sightseeing spots near it, it wasn’t a good crime to be naked on this famous nude beach.

There is no \official\ parking lot, so you need to get there early mainly on summer to park near the stairs you need to take to reach the beach. I consider the beach a small size so again, it will be crowded on summer after 3 PM. Additionally, a lot of people arrange fire pits and they leave the remaining wood there and you must wear shoes. I has a splinter in my feet twice when shoeless.

A genuine treasure, there's nowhere like Wreck Beach! Famous for its summertime beach scene with long days of warm sunshine and revelry, it's a place of serenity, birdlife, and natural splendor in the off season and early morning hours. Metro Vancouver does a great job maintaining the place (love those stairs!) but rangers will accost you if you are there before 8 in the morning or after sunset, and camping and fires are strictly forbidden.

a little slice of heaven in Vancouver ... I love how chill this place is and the regulars are so friendly. best place to have an honest conversation with a complete stranger. a body positive sanctuary where you can be authentically yourself. go get your naked on and be free.

Parking is a bit difficult to find during the summer months but there are definitely \peak\ times you can work around. There are quite a number of stairs to go down before reaching the beach and are a bit of a workout to go back up on.

It was my first time on this beach and this beach is gem on earth. There is almost 480 stairs to go down to see the beach.BUT AT THE END IT WILL BE WORTH IT.For the parking you have to park your car on road.

Probably the best beach in Vancouver. Sandy all along, with clear(ish) water and at a decent temperature considering that it's the Pacific Northwest. It's nudist friendly (albeit almost half the crowd is usually in swimming wear), so if that's a concern, might not be for everyone. Worth mentioning the vendors, decent selection of food and other items. All in all, great atmosphere!
