Really nice bit of history that is my favorite kind - the sort you can see touch and experience yourself. I only removed one star as when it gets dark some unsavory characters move in. If you are trying to understand the history of the city, this is the actual site you should start with, literally its like the cornerstone of a building, but for a city.

It's a beautiful square that's open to everyone. It's a good place to sit and observe the city, hangout, read a book, chat with a friend or friends, etc. It has park benches, nice well tended lawns and a beautiful structure with engraved messages, flags and a sword in honor of fallen soldiers. It's worth visiting if you ever stop by Vancouver. PS. Try not to wreck anything. Its hallowed ground. Respect it.

Victory Square is a real down town community hub in the summer time. A RELAXING, SAFE, & BEAUTIFUL spot to take five from the city pace, Victory Square is a tempting reminder to stop & smell the roses. The view surrounding the park, BOTH in the day & at night, is BREATH TAKING. A memorable place for our war veterans.
