I've paid the guys at VAC a number of visits over the past few months and they've been thoroughly great every time. Funnily enough, I actually stumbled upon the place when driving past one afternoon, but the awesome mural on the side of the building caught my eye, so I pulled over. Ali and his crew have always been very fair with me. They appreciated I was on a budget, and understand that older cars (I drive a 1974 Mercedes) need a certain degree of flexibility and practical expertise in the way they need to be cared for. I was most recently there to get some welding done. Ali went to great lengths to ensure I could get the work completed at an affordable price, while Andy - their top welder - did a sterling job. Everyone at the shop is friendly and down-to-earth. I spent the best part of a day there when my car was being repaired most recently, and felt like I was hanging out with a bunch of friends. It's refreshing to go to a garage like that. If you're looking for a place that will get things done in the most effective and practical way possible while maintaining common sense, these are the guys for you. I highly recommend a visit - and if you're a bit of a car enthusiast, they're always down for a chat about autos. When I was there, they had a whole range of machinery in the shop, from my '74 Mercedes, to a '09 Benz, a Hummer, Jeep Cherokee - not to mention a classic Pontiac Firebird that they'd installed a new engine in. In short: Go there, have a chat, I'm sure you'll leave very satisfied!

Got front left wheel bearing replaced. Was quoted for 2 hours billed for 3. Excuse for extra hour was rust and wheel spacers. The cars as rusty as a 15 year old car should be and the wheel spacers are brand new so that labor involves unscrewing 5 bolts. Since the bearing was replaced my car steering wheel now shudders/vibrates braking at high speeds which points to a damaged brake rotor. All these rotors were installed new last year. So not happy with the excuse for the extra hours work and certainly not happy that I now have to replace a brake rotor.

Dealt with Andy. Really a nice guy. Did some work on my exaust. It needed some welding repairs. Andy made me feel at home. I will be bringing my car back for drive axles soon. I'll let you know how it goes. Andy was available on Sat. Morning after nine. Felt I could trust him. His repairs are very solid.

Was referred this place by two of my colleagues at work. Totally understand why. Ali and his crew when above and beyond for me and gave me advice to maintain my car. They did my brakes and oil change very fast and for a reasonable price. Will be coming back here for sure.
