Being new to the city and having no family to support us through the 4th trimester left us feeling very overwhelmed and anxious! Hiring Arti was one of the best decisions we made. Being first time parents, she patiently helped us adjust and taught us all the tips and tricks needed to make the transition smooth. She’s knowledgeable in every aspect of newborn care and provided valuable inputs that helped us overcome various difficulties. She was very supportive of our choices and preferences and we cannot imagine how we would have managed without her support.

My husband and I are welcoming our first child this winter and I was overwhelmed with what we need to know after birth. We really enjoyed the private 1-on-1 session with Arti and we were able to get all our questions answered. She can also tailored the materials to what you would like to cover. We highly recommend taking a class with Arti for new parents to be!
Would highly recommend, I rented a birthpool very easy, very helpful over the phone when I wasn’t clear of the instructions. If I had another baby, will be renting with VAMA again.
Arti was a godsend. We were so on the fence about hiring a doula because we were planning a home birth and we weren't sure if we needed one but wow am I glad we hired her. She helped me through my four day labour and was great at reassuring both me and my partner. She also suggested things to us that we wouldn't have thought of that made my delivery as successful as possible. If you are unsure about whether or not to hire Vama Wellness, do it, you won't regret it. Arti was with us every step of the way, before, during and after and there's no way I could have done it without her!
I am so thankful we had Arti helping us during the birth of our son. Behind her bubbly personality is an energy of strength, perseverance and support without judgment. I don’t think anyone would have been able to massage and encourage me for hours during pressure waves like she did. When my birth went sideways and my birth plan crumbled, she was supportive and kept me focused instead of worrying about everything going on around me. When choosing a doula I wanted persons who I would be comfortable around during what felt like the most vulnerable moment in my life and that’s what I got - professionals that made me feel like we’ve been friends for years! Arti also has a real talent with babies and taught me sleep tricks that were saviours so make sure you ask her to show you how she puts babies to sleep! She’s a baby whisperer. The only two things I would change from my experiences would be 1) have your doula watch your babe during your postpartum visit and get a back massage and facial! 2)encapsulate your placenta. If you are considering it - do it! I wish I did.
