Trout lake since I was a kid growing up in the area was always a fun place to go. In summertime we would go swimming although I could not swim very good so I could not swim out to the fixed platform about a hundred feet off the south end of the lake. However the water was not very clean but when your a kid you don't care. We heard of a tale that in the early 1900's a team of horses pulling a sleigh with people in it crossing the lake iced over went through and were never found even though they dredged the lake. So, apparently after that they said the lake was bottomless. Now we like to go to the lake to walk around but watch out for the cyclists some of them can go quite fast, so don't walk in their lanes. Also watch out for the puddles on the walkway in winter they need to add more sand or gravel. It's so a great place to take your dog specially on the north end of the lake and some people even feed the ducks there

Great place to walk amongst dogs and they're peeps. beware of by law offices handing out tickets on nice days.
Good park for children play, walk around lake, watch ducks swimming and take nice pictures with mountains background.
Very nice park to take anyone too. It is pretty small but nice to get away from the rush of the city.
