Honestly amazing. My first time there and we called our order in. We got there a bit early but it was so fresh and amazing. The crab/shrimp sandwich is to die for and their lingcod and chips was also delicious. The fish was deep fried to perfection and the tartar sauce had some yummy herbs added to make it even more amazing. Not to mention the host/server was a cutie pie and sweet as heck to boot. An awesome food experience!

I really think that this place stands out for their quality fish and chips.. I arrived 20 minutes early before the scheduled pickup time, and waited in the Main Street area. The front-of-line guy hustled to make sure every customer got what they needed, answered their questions, took food orders & checked on them, made sure social distancing was in check, and all of this with the friendliest smile. Anyways, the fish and chips are fish and chips done right :) Flaky, crispy on the outside, and most importantly, really fresh. Love their emphasis on sustainability. Their passion for seafood is evident from the freshness of the fish and chips. Excited to check out their social media and try their other offerings. They offer the option of gluten free as well. Classic is best, and we will definitely be loyal patrons.

Very knowledgeable about fish and all those healthy stuff they selling. (If you don’t know what fish is better, like me or sea weed or this and that) Beautiful customer service with one important benefit! Customer service always same! See you soon, maybe even today ;) Thank you

One of the best fish and chips i’ve ever had! Fries and fish were freshly fried paired with amazing tartar sauce. This is definitely a go to place to get fish and chips in Vancouver!

Had the ling cod fish and chips, oyster Po'boy, and the bouillabaisse. The fish and chips is well fried and juicy. It is fried fish, so it was pretty heavy to eat. However, I've had far oilier fish before. There are a massive amount of chips served with the fish - I would not recommend trying to finish it on your own. The oyster Po'boy was amazing. Fried oyster is so soft and full of flavour, and the bread is very crispy to contrast. My only suggestion would be to cut the bread down a bit more so the oysters hang out less. The bouillabaisse had very little soup and instead had a lot of fillings of tomatoes and onions. It was good, but seems kind of overpriced for how much was given.

I've had fish n chips from The Fish Counter several times. Each time the fish and the chips were excellent and so was the service. Did take out last Friday and it was busy, but the employee who was taking in-store orders and expediting orders was doing a fabulous job. He was absolutely run off his feet, but didn't let it affect his customer service. My only downside comments are clam chowder was a bit bland this time around, prices on website differ from current pricing and the pre-order pick up area needs to be clarified. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to check in to let them know I was there or if I was just to supposed to wait until I heard my name called. Minor issues that wouldn't stop me from coming back.

Perfect take out for any good Friday. Salmon one piece and side of chowder. Tangy tartar!

Awesome fish & chips, and great retail for fresh seafood. I’d like to pay a compliment to a gentleman there (who I assume runs the place?) who consistently stands out for excellent customer service. It was a busy day when I visited and he hustled to make sure every customer got what they needed, answered their questions, took food orders & checked on them, made sure social distancing was in check, and all of this with the friendliest smile and thank you! Highly recommend this place!
