Swingle Clinic Reviews | Rating 3.3 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Swingle Clinic is located in Vancouver, Canada on 1190 Melville St #630. Swingle Clinic is rated 3.3 out of 5 in the category psychologist in Canada. Clinical psychoneurophysiology is a biological approach to healing and wellness. Our clinic treats a multitude of common disorders such as ADHD, Depression, anxiety, and insomnia as well as less common ailments such as PTSD, epilepsy, stroke, brain injury and fibromyalgia. We also work with brain optimization for individuals who just want to be the best they can be! Neurophysiological treatment does not involve pharmaceuticals or other potentially dangerous or ineffective drugs. To gain an understanding of what is ailing a person and why, we go directly to the source, the brain. At the Swingle Clinic a certified BCIA Neurotherapist will measure the relative strength of electrical signals (brainwaves) with a process called brain mapping. Here we collect data from the upper level of the cortex and potentially deeper brain structure via electrodes placed on the scalp. The relative strength of the signals from the brain tell us how efficiently or conversely how inefficiently certain functions of the brain are operating explaining precisely why an individual feels or acts the way they do. Treatment at the Swingle Clinic is guided by an individual’s specific brain profile as compared to normative, and perhaps more importantly Swingle Clinic clinical data bases diligently collected over the past 16 years of practice in Vancouver.

Oh I don’t understand why people reviews on here are bad you can’t cure a problem you can only manage it. Dr. Swingle has done the amazing thing for me and my brain , I am A Canadian forces veterans who suffers with severe PTSD!! Hands-down the best clinic I’ve ever been to!!

Their “doctors”come and go on regular basis. They love to bring them from USA and after a while they all leave for some reasons. They claim they can treat you but just go though regular protocols and claim that after 6 visits you will be fine. They worsen my insomnia so much that I wasn’t able to sleep for 36 hours. You see technicians for 6 times who ignore your feedbacks and regardless of your request to see “ doctor “( only because some of them have Ph.D, very misleading) they explain that everything is fine. When I told them that I am not doing any treatment before I see psychologist , Mari Swingle came to convince me that 36 hours without sleep is part of the treatment and I should continue. I am shocked how many parents bring their kids without knowing what will be the outcome of this “ treatment “. I talked to few people that go there and some of them had no improvement, some report that they got better but that can be placebo effect, other like me got much worse.

Very expensive with no improvement over a year's treatment. While the their technology to assess your mental state is very accurate, the treatment definitely is not. There are some celebrities or affluent people/families visiting this clinic, but they have ample funds at the disposal. While most of the staff are very nice (to me), there seems to be a high turnover which might be an indication of the working conditions and this isn't the ideal place to work. My recommendation is to go elsewhere that has strong backing by the psychiatric and psychological community which is supported by ample evidence and it's efficacy.

Front line staff need to have better people skills. A sincere hello or how are you doing? would be nice instead of \do you want to pay right now!?\ Extremely rude seeing that people are going in to get help who may have severe medical issues.

Dr Swingle and the people at his clinic changes our lives! When my son was in elementary school he was an EXPLOSIVE child. We tried many things from physiologist to sleep clinics and of course read many books to try to figure things out. Through family successes with Dr. Swingle’s clinic we gave it a try, honestly, we didn’t know what to do. After a number of trips and visits, our boy is now himself. At 15, our son is a fine young man with lots of drive and determination, it’s just well directed now. Thank you so much Dr. Swingle.
