From Space Launch Canada to Space Launch Moon-M5™: The Moon-M5 Satellite concept grew out of Space Launch Canada, a BC space initiative led by UBC alumnus Dr. Redouane Fakir, aiming to create the first Canadian orbital launch capability, and to do so by launching into outer space from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Space Launch Moon-M5 is the first of a series of three Moon spacecraft conceived and incubated for many years by Redouane at Green College, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, and now going into construction in collaboration with the Centre for Aerospace Research, University of Victoria. A spacecraft completely dedicated to education: Space Launch Moon compact satellites, launched initially from existing space facilities abroad, are the first phase in the Space Launch Canada long-term mission to launch into outer space from British Columbia. Whether through its space imagery, space messaging or space transport of inspirational personal payloads, the first satellite of this series (Moon-M5) is completely dedicated to education in all its forms, from inspiring and motivating K-to-12 school youth, to assisting and training young researchers at university. Support Canada’s 1st education spacecraft: By enrolling your youth in the Space Launch Kids inspirational program (www.SpaceLaunchCanada.com), you will also be (A) supporting Canada’s 1st education spacecraft and BC’s first commercial satellite; (B) making your school child a true pioneer in the BC space exploration program pursued by Space Launch Canada. Thank you.
