This business is crooked. I booked an appointment with them, which was subsequently cancelled without them notifying me. I tried calling and emailing several times and could not get ahold of anyone. They had my money since I booked the appointment on their website using a credit card. The only way I could finally get a refund was by contesting the purchase with American Express. I never received any service and fought this for about 2 months. Bottom line: do not do business with Smart auto check.

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Placed an order for them to check out a vehicle. The next day I get a call from the seller saying he hasn't heard from them yet. So I Call smartautocheck to ask what's going on, and they tell me they will call the seller today and set a time to check the vehicle. At the End of the day I get a call from the seller saying he hasn't heard from smart auto check and wants to know what's up, as others are also interested in this vehicle. Frustrated I tell him I will call smartautocheck as soon as they are open and let him know what's happening. The next day, I must of called smartautocheck 50 times and left multiple messages. Every time it went straight to the answering service. I Have not received a single call back from them. The seller doesn't want to wait for this BS anymore and has decided to move onto other buyers. I missed a great opportunity with this vehicle. \Smart\ auto check has not called me back as of yet. And I am in the process of figuring out how I get my 150 money back. Unbelievable. Complete and total rip off. Avoid these people at all costs..... I wish I had just taken it to a mechanic myself as I usually would of done.

I strongly DO NOT recommend this company. Booked a prepurchase inspection and nothing happend at all. for days. After giving them multiple calls and emails without getting any reaction at all the car was gone (as was a lot of my time spent on this crap). Therefor do not consider smartautocheck for any services.

I dealt with this company to check a car I was going to buy. I got a very positive report on a car. But when I checked the car by myself, lots of things were found that were not reflected in the report. Therefore I will not use this service again. UPDATE: Some time later I received a 50% refund for a bad service.
