Good selection of items including smaller bags of rice so you can sample brands in advance of buying a giant bag. It is also nice that it is open till 8. Super convenient that it is located above Kim's Mart with all the fresh veggies and meat.

I just had a very very bad experience! When I was looking around this store, the owner came and asked me to use shipping basket. I was actually looking for just one thing, but of course I accepted that. Then he said while pointing at my IKEA shopping bag “Don’t put anything in your bag.” Actually, he thought I was gonna steal something! And I’m absolutely not. I’m so upset, because he obviously insulted me. Just let you know, the Japanese staff were very polite and helpful. They apologized for me instead of the owner! But I won’t forgive him ever! If you see him, you better tell him “I am not going to steal anything!”. I strongly hope the owner will change soon!

I shop there every few months to stock up on Japanese pantry items. They have a great selection on rice, dried noodles (like 6 different brands of buckwheat noodles) and other items such as curry and all sorts of other goodies. They have the best prices on natto. It’s always relaxed there unlike Kim’s Mart downstairs which is the same company. The 2 off coupon (after spending a certain amount) is always a nice treat. I’m being picky but if they can play Jpop as background music my shopping experience would be even more elevated :)
