I strongly believe this is the best clinic in this hospital. Receiptionists are beyond perfect, Doctors are beyond smart. Very very helpful and undrestanding people. The residents and fellows could be a little better.

I have had nothing but good experiences with the Lung Clinic at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver. Be prepared to wait for your x-ray - and get to X-RAY really early if you are booked into other follow up appointments at the hospital that day. The staff are very helpful and in my case, jumped me ahead a bit in the lineup because I was so worried about making my next hospital appointment. I don't know whether it really made a difference in the line-up but it did make me less stressed. I have been going to this clinic for twice a year evaluation and treatment for four years and would like to thank the wonderful clinic staff and Dr. Pearce Wilcox for the care I have, and continue, to receive.

I was trying to confirm if I had been to this center some years ago and the receptionist refused to give me any information. She told me to call the health records department, to which I informed her that they were the ones that had transferred me to her. All I was asking for was for her to look up my PHN and confirm for me I had seen a doctor here and if it stated what it had been for. She could hardly speak English (I don't understand how she was hired if she can't speak the necessary language one needs to speak in Canada - ESPECIALLY when it comes to something as important as health care) and continued to refuse to help me. She snapped at me in terribly broken English \WHAT U WANT\, to which I repeated for the 10th time that I needed her to look up my PHN. She finally did so, but with more attitude than a pmsing 15 year old. Through this ordeal, I'd asked to speak to \any other receptionist\ (which, in Canada, she is legally entitled to do), and refused. I ended up being a patient when I'd thought I was, and despite not having a hellish experience when I was present those years ago for my appointments, such experiences (especially for people whom are ill, suffering, and/or chronicly ill- this is the worst possible treatment anyone could ever ask for). Please hire people that know how to speak English. Please hire people that don't abuse individuals for asking them to do their jobs. Why are you paying individuals who do anything other than the aforementioned.

My dad has a serious health concern and was told to get a blood test asap. But he was given the wrong name on his blood test form. The name was no where close to his and was a female name and much younger than him. The doctor was over a half an hour late. This is bullshit coming from an institution that should know better. So unprofessional.
