Dropped me as a patient when my issues became too much.

This is a failed experiment, as is evidenced by the Centre's recent closing down of the Robson St. clinic and the association's merger with another dubious charity. Furthermore I am told by staff that the doctors have been fleeing the place in droves and patients are being purged from the system. This decline and fall is what is deserved. As a patient there for two years, attending their goofy \Group Medical Visits\ (GMV) I have yet to witness anything like \group therapy\ happening in the meeting rooms. It's just a crowd prescriptions filling! The doctors - not all, but many - are barely \there\ in their minds. They refuse to communicate with patients individually. The docs rarely respond to patient email messages. Likewise, they refuse to communicate with pharmacies when something goes wrong with a prescription, such as when a patient misses a \GMV\ but needs his prescriptions anyway, or when a patient inadvertently forgets to request one particular med at the GMV. They say they are performing a wonderful new innovative service to mental health patients. It's baloney! Since most of the docs there are working pro bono, it is unclear just WHO is being served! The only imaginable winner is BC Healthcare itself, by way of a sizable reduction of doctor visit fees paid out when one doctor sees a dozen patients at a single consult. Don't waste your time with these people.

Worst psychiatrist I've ever talked to. Recommended the strongest most dangerous drugs after a 1 minute conversation. Was incapable of listening. Terribly unprofessional and 100% bound to the tainted body of information coming from pharmaceutical companies where actual good psychiatrists are better listeners, more open minded, and have respect for the intelligence of their patients.

I have been a participant in the Food and Mood, Group Therapy and Medication consultation. I am so impressed with the kind and sincere caring treatment I have received. My journey has been long but I feel like I can cope so much better with this team.

I also am thankful that I have found this place. My doctor referred me here after I had a difficult time finding the right psychologist fit. I went to see one of the counselors and found him very helpful in my particular situation(s) and went back to see him again a couple years later. I found my session very helpful.
