When I saw the google result of Maitreya, I iwas not sure of the shop. Everything change once I walk into it. Their multicultural collection is tremendous. Maitreya(the owner) gave me a warm welcome and answer my questions with patient. She told me stories of the antiques, and stories fo how they obatin these antiques. I bought a necklace for my mother. It was a very pleasant shopping experience and that's why I am giving them the five stars.

A great antique store！Lots of authentic chinese antique. The owner has really good taste. They have been doing asian antique for more than 30 years. Come in and talk to them，you will get a lot of history knowledge.
My girlfriend and I have been travelling around Canada, the UK and the US for a long time looking for quality antiques, and while we have found some treasures here and there, in the majority of cases we had to pick through piles of generic, samey stuff. Maitreya's store however was a very pleasant surprise for us. It houses a very large but very well curated collection of genuine antiques, with each set of items quite unique in style and provenance. Maitreya herself was very helpful, volunteering lots of information about each object and seemed very willing to just chat over tea instead of trying to close a sale. I'd highly recommend visiting the store, even if it's just for an arts or history lesson, especially if you yourself are an antiques enthusiast.
Maitreya is a very nice anitque shop. Unlike other shops around them, their good stuff is behind the door. They have many kinds of asian antiques-porcelains, paintings, jeewllery, furnitures, I even found a nice wooden chessboard. The owner, Maitreya, is a warm and friendly lady. She introduce me not just what the antique is , and the history behind it as well. The shopping experience was very good.
This shop is one of the greatest Asian antique shops I’ve ever been. There are many kinds of Asian antiques, such as Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indian and so on. And everything is high quality, great condition. The owner, Maitreya is very charming, warm and knowledgeable person. She told me many wonderful stories about antique itself and also her story of how these stuffs came to her.
