Before the owner replies that they never had a student with my name, I'm using a different account than my actual name as I want this to be anonymous I graduated from the Make up artistry beauty and sfx program. The instructors treat you like a child, and play favourites. Furthermore, only 1 student out of my class of 15 had actually ended up with a career in make up, and that is because they were already a make up artist before coming to JCI and because they became friends with the teacher, everyone else has either a minimum wage job or is in university studying in a separate field. I was even told by the instructor that only about 2 people per class actually make it in the industry. Its a waste of money and time.

Well, here we go again, I wrote a review but it seems to have disappeared , I think hope that I'm not repeating myself. It's my pleasure today to take this opportunity to inform everyone about the fantastic experience I had in the Spa. I first called in and spoke with Jen who I found to be friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. When coming in for my appointment I had the great fortune of finally meeting Jen in person. Once again, I found her to be very professional, friendly and making me feel extremely comfortable. She then introduced me to Kennedy, the student who would be performing the day's treatments. I also found Kennedy to be kind, friendly and professional in her services. In fact, I thought she was further into the program because of my many experiences in dealing with spa services and her application for each treatment. I would like to thank both the student, Kennedy and especially the teacher, Jen. Who I'm sure has instructed all of her students with the same fantastic knowledge and professional treatment skills that I experienced earlier today.
Okay so, from a graduated MUA student I'll give my perspective. Curriculum is very outdated. Honestly they shouldn't even offer a prosthetic program because it is no where near the industry standard. It's kinda useless tbh. The 6 month makeup program is a scam. There is absolutely no training whatsoever when it comes to deeper skin tones. They offer a hairstyle program within the MUA course and it's a joke. For the amount of money this program costs it's a joke. Steer clear. Also they spend ONE DAY on the film industry course when it should be at least 4 weeks . Rather than the \decades makeup\ they drag you through. This place is a total money grab
JCI has been one of the best experiences of my life. I made life-long friends here and I am so grateful for my amazing teachers for their patience and understanding towards us. This will always be a memorable time and I will visit whenever I can to catch up with my teachers.
