My family studies Japanese here. Well used to. Between charging a 25% more fees the year before coronavirus, to leaving children unattended for a hour, removing family discounts and leaving teachers completely in the dark about future plans, I have had to move my family elsewhere. The new \executive director\, which doesn't have any japanese experience either, has literally drove this place from community to another greedy school. It is really sad to see the friends and their families leave this place after being a part of the community for 10 years.

We hosted an event inside the auditorium about a year ago. The communications before the booking and the liaison at the event was excellent. The liaison checked in with us multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed and helped us set up the venue. He even troubleshot and fixed our laptop after it failed to power up from sleep. Everything was going great until the liaison stepped out, then a lady claiming to be from the school board stormed in and yelled and accused us of damaging the auditorium's drywall. We tried to explain that the drywall was already damaged and dirty when we arrived. But no matter what we said, she insisted we are on the hook for damages. She eventually walked out in middle of our conversation and disappeared. I asked the liaison to come down and he was very apologetic. He confirmed the lady is part of the school board, and it wasn't the lady's first time disrupting the event. He also promised us that we'd have exclusive access to the auditorium without interruptions as we are paying the rents. Also, he confirmed we didn't damage the drywall and wouldn't be charged for it as the walls were already in disrepair when we arrived. We had no trouble after the lady left and we were not charged for drywall as promised, but it left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. I don't particularly like leaving bad reviews, but I still get reminded about the interaction I had on that day. The venue and other employees were great, but one bad apple spoilt the whole experience.

Booked the tatami room months in advance. Got a liquor license and organized a whole party. Gave me less than a week notice to tell me they double booked with another event and there was noting I could do, not a reliable spot to use as a venue.
