This service is very convenient and technically excellent. Especially useful in COVID times, when meeting outside and wearing a mask the whole time makes for a safer interaction. My mechanic, Muhammad, was absolutely fantastic and very attentive. Answered all my questions and ran all the tests I was worried about while doing all the work very quickly. I am very new to cars, so having someone with lots of knowledge available by phone and also being great in person has been a godsend

Do not buy. Instamek is a total ripoff. See the other 8 negative reviews on google reviews -ALL WRITTEN MONTHS before this interaction. Notice the pattern?? They up-sell you with zero value given back. The \PrePuchase Inspection\ is not worth 232.96. The images DO NOT have the red indication lines like on the website along with other discrepancies. They do not offer the same caliber written detail like in the website's depiction until you complain. It is a total ripoff. You will have to call and ask for a refund before they revise the report to start to match what they say they sell. Then offer you 40 off your next purchase because... \you probably didn't like having to go back and forth with us so I can offer you a 40 discount towards your next service with us.\ They may be good at oil changes, however, they are not good at the pre-purchase inspection. I will not trust them again. 232.96 is way too much.
I called InstaMek 2 days ago and they came today. Jack replaced my brake pads and rotors. He was very efficient and even went the extra mile. I parked the car about a block away from my house, down a big hill, because there was a big gravel pit that was perfect for working on my car. Jack took the time to re-park my car at the top of the hill by my house. Which means, he had to walk down the hill to bring his own vehicle up. It was unexpected and I was very impressed. I definitely recommend this place. They are super professional and very efficient and have reasonable pricing.
Nice to have reasonably priced peace of mind before purchasing. Tech was a nice guy and was up front about everything. Definitely felt like he was in my corner.
Would give zero stars if I could. Today we had instamek come to our house to install a battery into my husbands 2002 Toyota Sienna. The mechanic that came didn't even check to make sure that this was the problem and began to take the battery out. While taking out the battery he used an electric drill causing the bolt to snap. Once the battery was taken out, he discovered that the battery he had was too small for or my husbands vehicle. He then preceded to put a piece of cardboard (picture shown) where the battery was supposed to go and attempted to put the batteru in that spot and bolt it back in. My husband stopped him and asked him if this was safe. His response back was \this is the only battery I have \. My husband then told him he was paying a lot for this and the guy replied saying that \I guess I have to get a new battery then\. He then left without giving a time frame of when he was supposed to be coming back. He then left without giving us a receipt or anything. Later that night, we receive an email saying our Vehicle Inspection was in. My husband opened the report and read it. He was with the mechanic the whole entire time and he never performed any inspections on the vehicle. Thank god my husband was with this mechanic the whole time, as who knows what we would have walked away with. Will never use them again. EDIT: Thank you Kyle for contacting my husband and rectifying the issue. We really appreciate it . Great customer service .
