I just read a response by this doctor to a patient that had reported he (the patient) was yelled at. This doctor said that he has never yelled at any patient. I beg to differ. Dr. Laakmann yelled at me the very last time I saw him. The reason I was in the office to see him was mainly to have my orthotics changed because they were making my feet hurt. He hummed and hawed about that and during the discussion I told him that my TCM Practitioner had found that my ankle joint wasn't moving as it should and he yelled at me saying that he had never heard of such a thing. After he agreed to have the orthotics changed, I left his office close to tears and, except for picking up the new orthotics, I never went back. This was a number of years ago and never said anything on Google because I didn't want to make waves.

If you are in need of a podiatrist stop looking now because you've found the best one. Dr.Laakmann and his team are hands down some of the greatest people! Maria at the front desk is so fun and happy, she gets everything sorted and makes you feel so comfortable as soon as you walk in the door - she is such a star! And Dr.Laakmann is also just as friendly. He answers every single question you ask which is so helpful, and also talks to you like a real person, making you laugh, sharing personal stories to make you feel more comfortable about your visit. He is OUTSTANDING, also incredibly gentle and cautious with your foot. 10/10 visit, I will never go elsewhere. Cannot recommend him enough.
Only went twice - first time was alright. The second appointment he towered over me as I was seated, and hollered for minutes - which was his response to my simple statement that the devices were too uncomfortable to wear. I was so shocked and upset I never returned. Today I read the doctor's rebuttal - after all these years, still aggressive and combative. Yes, indeed, you DID rant at me and that is why I prefer to lose all that money and not have to deal with more abuse. Your refusal to consider that you could be at fault for anything and still blaming the client serves only to confirm the earlier impression that you left me with. You are even accusing me falsely to take the spotlight of your own actions. No kind invitation for a peaceful TWO WAY discussion for resolution, just attack-mode, exactly as it was when I calmly and politely booked a formal appointment - for which you were paid - to ask you for help - and instead received exactly the same inflammatory reaction.. I AM SORRY YOU DON'T LIKE MY HONESTY, BUT TO BE FAIR, I DON'T LIKE YOUR DUPLICITY. OR ABUSE. OR FALSE ACCUSATIONS. OR DENIAL OF THE TRUTH AS WELL AS WHAT I KNOW I DID EXPERIENCE. You have given me zero reason to trust you would even listen in order to help me. I have no interest in walking into that trap you are trying to falsely bait me with.
