The Staff are helpfull. What I don't like is waiting in line. Why are the wait times so horrible!? I dislike having to wait here all morning in the rain and there is 20 ppl Infront of me. How am I sapose to get my permit?

Went there for a business license , got a business plan review instead. It is really frustrating when they tell you that your business won't work. And at the end you wait for 5 hours bouncing you around offices.

The City of Vancouver Building Services staff compete with one another to offer the worst service. And their management rewards them for \worst employee of the day\. It is a coveted award by City staff.

Absolutely terrible response time and processing time. As a local small business they should understand that their delays cost us thousands in interest payments and holding costs. The project coordinator assigned to my file has proven to be incompetent and clearly doesn’t understand the building process. She was on vacation for multiple weeks and her out of offfice contact would also take no responsibility to continue processing the file. Their delays have cost me over 25,000 and counting, emails go unanswered and don’t even think about calling in - you won’t get anyone who knows what they’re talking about or just forward you to a voicemail. City of Vancouver, as taxpers we expect better service standards and professionalism at your offices.
