I visited Deserres as I am working on a new project and needed to gather a few supplies that I did not already have in my collection. I love wandering the aisles anyway, but on this day, I was on a mission. I asked staff help in locating the product I was in search of. Not only did the staff person know where it was, but they were also well informed on how to use it, and had suggestions about the project I had in mind. The cashier was equally friendly. I gave this experience a 5 out of 5. I love purchasing art supplies and Deserres is my go to when I'm getting them.

I walked in and was so impressed with the variety of crafts! They have a lot of drawing and painting. A bit less for felting or invitations but I thoroughly was amazed at all the ideas I gathered. Second floor are frames - a bit pricey. Lots of parking in the lot! Highly recommend this place, prices are reasonable. Tip: bring student card for 10% discount.

Even after almost a year of COVID I don't think there's a shop I go that's a fastidious as DeSerres'. Big selection, damaged by COVID of course (the oils section a bit of a wasteland) but still a great collection in one stop for a lot of what you're looking for. If you're a miniature hobbyist like me there's no excuse not to visit DeSerres if you're going to Central Hobbies. The two places are made to complement each other! Let art dorks and mini nerds unite in art!

The store is following good safety practices to help control the spread of COVID. Although some of their products were in short supply, for obvious reason, they still had an excellent selection of art and craft products. I enjoyed slowly walking around to see everything. I left with a new pen and ink book, watercolour paper a some new paint brushes. They had a selection of products for almost any budget. This was my 1st time in deSerres but it won't be my last. I would recommend this location.
