This place is amazing! The view is gorgeous, and the park is huge. I love how community-based Trout Lake park is. There is a covered picnic area that is good for picnics, potlucks or eleven barbeques. Around the area are trees and paths, with even a playground nearby. We rented the covered area. The only thing that I really don't like are the washrooms. They are disgusting. Even more than portable potties. I almost threw up when I walked inside the sewer hole. Regardless of that, there is a concession stand beside the washroom that even sells kombuchs on tap. (hmm, interesting) The parking is horrible though. We miraculously found a spot. People were even parked illegally just to get to the park. Come! This is a beautiful park. I am so surprised that I never even knew such a wonderful utopia existed.

Amazing location and great place for a quick visit with your family and friends
This is a covered gazebo area with picnic tables but it is often in high demand in peak seasons. Trout Lake/John Hendry Park is a big beautiful park with walking path, separate bike path in some areas, public swimming area with a sandy beach, dog beach area, community centre, two food stands (seasonal), tennis courts open to the public and more. This park is great for a relaxing chill sesh, a workout, play session with your dog or an outing with friends or family.
We actually didn't see a covered area here, but there is a concession that sells ice cream and snacks, a beach on the lake with lifeguards, and a little playground. It's a pretty good place to bring the kids and has big trees offering lots of shade.
The gazebos and covered areas at trout lake are an AWESOME place to bring family and friends to have bbqs or corporate events. Trout lake is super beautiful park but at night you can get some undesirables
