It was our first time checking out this restaurant. We booked it on open table which was an easy process. We were here the week before Valentine's and just before busy dinner hour. The food is very flavourful, but a bit more spicy for my palate. Really enjoyed the Jamaican patties. I really liked the pork belly as well but my mouth was on fire and couldn't really eat more of it. Recommend asking to tone it a bit down in the spices. But if you like spicy and flavourful food, this is the place for you. The service was good until it got busy and it took a while to get our bill. Overall, I would recommend checking it out.

For the price point, I feel like you really do get what you pay for. The portion sizes are large and filling and the food is quite involved and has a lot of different components. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. I had the oxtail which was braised until tender and gelatinous in some parts--exactly how it should be. My partner had the fried cod that was fried in a house-made flour mix and it was wonderful. Service was fast and friendly. I want to come back time and time again.

Calabash is a fantastic restaurant. The jerk chicken and the coconut dumplings especially are to die for! Their new family style delivered meals are incredible and they've always been very cautious with allergies. Good food, good people, can't recommend this restaurant enough!!

Calabash will always have a place in our hearts, first visited a few years back and it was some of the tastiest food we managed to find in Vancouver! Needless to say the atmosphere inside the restaurant was great, some nice art and good music selection playing in the background. Staff are lovely and friendly been polite and courteous during every visit. The kitchen staff have been great cooks on majority of ocassions we have ordered here. My family being of Caribbean background really enjoyed the taste of all of our meals and my Mum in particular liked the Jerk fried fish. Only downside to the restaurant happens to be its location for some. When friends visited from abroad we took them to Calabash and they really enjoyed their food! They didnt however enjoy the location with an individual emptying a baggy of powder on the windowsill and smoking his pipe right next to my mother in laws window seat. Needless to say the staff did what they could to deter him away from the window. But unfortunately the experience had became tainted as friends could then not ignore the endless indivuals injecting themselves etc. We continue to regularly attend the restaurant for collection orders (since the start of the pandemic as we can't get Calabash delivered in our area.) But it can be hard to park nearby given the circumstances. Our most recent collection for my wifes birthday had some differences in the cooking but chances are it was a one off, we love what you do Calabash and hope your amazing business continues to strive! Much love, The Dixon's

The downstairs lounge is great entertainment for a Friday night. With live music and delicious food, if you’re looking for a lively place - I’d suggest checking this place out.

Absolutely incredible food, cocktails and service! I went for the amazing rum selection and flights which did not disappoint and my friends and I were truly impressed with the entire experience. Our waiter was charming and took excellent care of us and the house aged cocktails make the place a true standout. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

Was stoked on the Jamaican jerk fries. But they came with nothing but a little jerk spice and we had to ask and wait for ketchup twice because they give you about 7.6ml when you ask. Definitely not the end of the world. But to be charged 2 for ketchup after paying 7 for fries? The coconut dumplings are like donuts. Amazing, just more of a dessert item.
