I got an Essence of Australia sample sale dress of size 12 (D2365) which I bought in Montreal before I moved to Vancouver. I was told to have it altered at the boutique where I bought it from since it would be very difficult to alter it down to my size (about 6 or 8) and the seamstress there was very experienced with this brand. However because of the pandemic, I was not able to return for alterations. Fortunately, I found Sara at Alma Bridal. I have to say, Sara is a very skilled seamstress. I had to get it altered twice because the first time when I got the dress back, it seemed like a different style, and way more loose. However, I realized that I was not very clear in telling her what I want at the beginning (that I want it tight around my body and my bum :)) Sara offered to come back and she managed to alter it to perfection the second time round. I will edit this post with a picture after the wedding, but it is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much Sara. FYI the first alteration took about a month to get the dress back, but the 2nd time it took her a few days. And please make sure that when you come in for alteration, don't be shy to tell her exactly what you want and where you want it tighten. She's a very sweet and patient lady!

I found an ideal wedding dress here. Sara put beautiful lace flowers on the body which perfected the dress. It turned out what I exactly expected. I am very happy with her consultation and alteration. I highly recommend this bridal shop.

I had the worst experience with them. I have never seen such unprofessionalism before. The first time I visited them, I was passing by and saw that it was a new place so I thought to give it a shot, but the door was locked! I knocked the door and a lady appeared from the back. She apparently “didn’t know it was locked”.. That’s odd, because the advertisement board was out, so how did she not notice it was locked!? Then she told me I was their first customer (dah cause the door was locked), and told me she was excited to make an appointment with me. The next week I came back here for the appointment, but again the door and gate were locked! Nobody was there, so I called their phone. Then another lady picked it up and told me things have come up to the manager, so come back at 1pm. (the appointment was at 11am) Hm again that’s odd, because the “manager” has my phone number and I didn’t not hear from her at all about delaying our appointment. If she had some things that came up even if they were emergency, she could have called me to postpone our appointment, but nothing was done until I called them at 11:15, and the other lady didn’t even know about it either. This lack of professionalism here just makes me shocked! Since the lady said I was the first customer, the rest of google reviews must have been written by their staff, or she was lying that I was the first customer. Either way, you will be lied if you visit here. Don’t even give it a shot. The door might be locked.
