Went in last Friday night for the first time and the employees were super friendly. Falafel was amazing and so was the beef. In Calgary I'm used to more opportunity to customize, but I'm not going to take off stars for not conforming to my unauthentic preference.

A small place with fresh made food and sweet staff. Very generous portions and the taste is amazing. We look forward to return

This place has terrible work ethics. They do not follow their business hours and are not helpful in anyway. I’ve been living in the neighbour hood close to 10 years but in the past couple years they have gone downhill with providing any sort of reasonable service. Do not go. You have been warned

The good: -Very reasonably priced relative to other shawarma places nearby. -Their chicken has a lot of flavour and is very tasty when it’s been fried correctly. -Tasty falafel balls with the classic crunchy exterior. -The staff are always very friendly and prompt. The bad: -The meatloaf tastes like it has a lot of fillers and it is cut off in large chunks instead of thin slices -They fry the meat and chicken in copious amounts of oil after cutting it off the spit. This makes it greasy and crispy (the crispy has been nice sometimes, but overdone other times) -The hot sauce is Frank’s (not bad, but I prefer a house-made hot sauce)

I had the platter and it was with a lower quality than what I expected. Found the Shawarma too oily which made the rice below also very greasy (or was the rice too greasy by itself from the beginning?). Didn't find the salad portion of the plate to be fresh either. The quality of Hummus was good though. I haven't had many Arabic food experiences in Vancouver but certainly won't be recommending this one.
