I rented a second floor unit from September 2019 to September 2020. Pros: - Unit was very nice and modern. - Pets are allowed. - The rooftop patio is awesome, we enjoyed hosting friends and family there. - Great area. We explored nearby craft breweries, restaurants and had evening walks along False Creek. - Although the gym is small, it has everything you need and I was usually the only person in there, which I really appreciated. - BOSA took COVID-19 seriously and amenities were reopened at an appropriate time. Cons: - Building lacks a storage room. - Unit gets really warm in summertime. - Very noisy, this is alongside one of the busiest roads in Vancouver. - At least once a month our water would be shut off for hours at a time for repairs. I've never been in a place where this problem happens so frequently, this shouldn't happen so often for a new building. - Securing a spot in the bike room was a big hassle, requiring multiple emails and phone calls to management. - We had one instance of exterior windows being cleaned without management notifying us, which invaded our privacy. - Elevators are not optimized for the new COVID rules of 1 group per elevator. This often means waiting in the lobby for 5 minutes just to get to our unit one floor above. Stairs are not accessible going up.

Poor customer service trying to secure an apartment whilst abroad. After explicitly saying that I wanted a specific unit, they ran my application and then gave the unit away to someone else. I’d look elsewhere.

This is a pretty solid apartment building, the units are new, the layout of the bachelor is a bit unfortunate as it only has a single window and becomes incredibly hot in the summer, and there is a distinct lack of storage space in the unit, mine is crammed full of various boxes and containers. However, the management is professional, renting the apartment was straight forward, and the building manager has promptly answered any questions that I had, so I would recommend the building if you're looking for an easy rental experience. Regarding the neighbourhood, I'm a bit disappointed. I don't drink, so the plethora of craft breweries nearby isn't really interesting for me, and Olympic Village seems to close very early.
