Fine public art in a poor location. The ladder is installed on median of busy Kingsway. It looks like a glorified utility pole from driver’s point of view as it’s angled at 45 degrees and there are obvious dips along the ladder where the widths shrink in its size to make it look taller.

Artist Khan Lee's \108 Steps\ is a galvanized steel sculpture that is meant to encourage viewers to reach upward and beyond under the belief that they can change anything. This may be, but it may also be a giant ladder for the City workers to change the sky from blue to grey and back again at the bookends of summer...or on a daily basis...or multiple times per day, actually. Either way, it's tall, it's big, and who doesn't love tall and big things.
