Horrible company, avoid them like the plague. Once upon a time they were fantastic and then Primus purchased them. Since then the DID pricing went up from 3/mnth to 13/mnth. Time rates went up, service dropped to almost nothing. I just transferred the last of my DIDs away from this company. They still have my credit card number on file and are now trying to tell me that they "cannot remove my credit card information but my account will be deleted soon". Their support didn't answer an urgent issue with their servers for over 10 days. They refuse to return any of the money that I had prepaid for service that they were unable to deliver stating "our terms and services state that this is a prepaid service" so even though they actually have an SLA and were unable to provide the service to the point where I had to change providers ... nope, we still have your money so too bad for you. Unlimitel and Primus will never get money from me ever again, and if you're reading this I would hope that you save yourself the hassle as well. I'll be sharing this experience far and wide. This is how they treat a 14 year customer and it's a shame.

Horrible company, poor customer service.. owned by primus. they act like they don't want your business and shouldn't have it for that reason. read the contracts carefully, they are not even responsible when they may make mistakes.
Stay away! Go with Ooma instead. Unlimitel doesn't care at all about its customers, their support fails in every way, they nickel and dime and pretty much steal money from you without consent. Horrible company to work with.
Concur with Primus takeover being the tipping point towards mediocrity and worse. I was on their VOIP à la carte service. No support whatsoever, never replied to e-mails, incessant price increases (7.95/mth just for the the phone number!) with no added features (voicemail is 4/mth...what?). Switched to voip.ms and don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Had my number ported from Unlimitel without a problem. Just remember to delete your DID in the Unlimitel customer portal before your renewal date. FYI, you cannot delete your DID if it is registered on their server. If you are still concerned about them charging you, change the expiry date on your card or call your bank to report a "lost" card. Don't hesitate to ditch this dinosaur for voip.ms.
Terrible Customer Service and Customer Portal. They keep charging your card even after you've closed your account. Make it impossible to close your account. Can't remove your credit card even after removing all your DIDs (phone numbers). AND, the reason I cancelled was because they let my phone number go to someone else! A number that I had used for over 15 years!
horrible horrible customer service.. really went downhill after they sold the company to primus.. they keep on telling me different information and when they are wrong, they just ooopsie - i am not an expert.. so maybe get someone who knows what they are doing..
