Went to Emerg and was turned away and told to go to another hospital. Nurses are standing around gossiping while people are being brought in by ambulance. Told to contact Patient Services who said they "would look into the situation to help make the hospital a better place for future patients". I am sure that excuse works when you are a customer service clerk as a teenager, but turning people away and then having adminstration give some bland answer about "looking into matters" is really pathetic. No wonder there is a health crisis going on right now...

Refused care upon arrival at Emergency University Hospital because of Covid restrictions but given no help of what to do or where to go. Messaged Patient Services and was quickly told off and warned that I should not come back to UH given my comments. Message is clear, staff here don't want to help you if you are in an emergency situation and if you complain to Patient Services you are unwelcome in the future. Whole system is taxed and stretched with covid but attitudes there are not helping.

Emergency staff are the worst ever. They guarantee you will get worse as for your illness or because of high pressure!

Where do sick people go in emergency now in London? My partner has been in treatment for abdominal pains for several weeks now by a local doctor. Last night the pain got so bad that in consultation with Tele-Health Ontario we were advised to go to University Hospital Emergency Room. A taxi ride later we arrived we were met by a lady at the door asking about Covid and the usual routine. Despite having my partner bent over, hardly able to stand up, and his medications for his abdominal pain on him they announced that "sorry abdominal pains and chest pains are a potential symptom of Covid 19, we can't let you enter". So you have someone in extreme pain, who has been advised to go to emergency but then you refuse them at the door? The nurse even made us walk away from the emergency entrance while we waited for a return taxi because of my "partner's potential for Covid". So my question is where do people now go in emergency if chest pains, abdominal pains and passing blood are symptoms of Covid and you are not allowed in?

Last night I visited this emergency department from 9 pm and left at 3 am without seeing a doctor, because the nurses there left me for the end of the turn, and the doctor saw people coming hours after me while I waited. I was subjected to discrimination in this place and I will not visit him again until death.

Waisted 5 hours from11 pm to 4 am, we had to sleep in the waiting room with my 5 years son without any benefit. If my wife’s symptoms are not urgent they could of let us know instead of being rude every time we talked to the receptionist. My wife’s right side of her body is heavy, I am not a doctor to know if it is emergency or not, but it is not right to keep us in there for 5 hours. We had to leave without seeing a doctor. Very disappointed in a poorly run system.
