This park is an oasis. Immaculately clean, friendly staff and so peaceful. The views from our campsite were spectacular. Each day we left our campsite and walked 5 minutes to the town of trout river. The beaches are beautiful and the people friendly. If you are looking for a small piece of nature’s beauty then this place is for you. You may find sites as nice but none are nicer.

What an experience! The perfect getaway. Waking up to that view cannot be beat. The sunsets were beautiful, with a great view from the park itself. The tent had everything we needed and much much more. The beds were very comfortable and we got a great sleep during our stay! The bathroom/shower area appeared brand new and was spotless. The cook house was great, we used it to get out of the sun while cooking our meals. It is very convenient for clean up. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best. Very friendly. Local recommendations were provided. Elephants Head RV Park and Trout River did not disappoint. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Finally, a full service RV Park at Trout River, opened in May 2018. Very safe environment for children young and old ( like me). Very close Green Garden , Tablelands, and Trout River hiking trails, and two excellent restaurants in Trout River. The owners are so nice, so glad we found you. Yup! They got WI-FI. Nope! No mosquito or black flies.

Spent two night here at the Stargaver last summer, it was like a little piece of heaven, I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever been so relaxed, it’s an amazing spot, absolutely beautiful view, and the lady that served us during our stay was so nice, I would highly recommend anyone that’s looking for a nice quiet getaway to visit these guys, all you need is clothes and food, literally everything else is provided...... hoping to get back this summer if we can .......

Stunning views and location. Staff was amazing and so friendly. About a half an hour walk to Trout River village with a steep hill but worth it to check out the village. Bathrooms incl. Showers were super clean. I would 100% come back if I'm ever in Newfoundland again. Be prepared for some wind though.

Found this gem by chance. Had originally booked Lomond River Lodge but when we arrived we found that full service only included 15 amp electric from their generator. They were kind enough to check with Elephants Head RV Park to see if they had openings. They did, so we headed there. Natasha stayed late to ensure our check in was smooth. This is a small park in the village of Trout River. They only have 12 RV sites. The sites are spacious, gravelled, level and well laid out. Washrooms and Laundry are clean and well maintained. Probably the best RV Park showers we’ve ever encountered. Great wifi but no cell service. This campground is close to numerous hikes in the area including the Tablelands, Green Garden and the Lookout Trail. Don’t miss the Eastern Point Trail in Trout River with great views of the bay and coast line. All hikes are within a 10 min drive. It is close to the Discovery Center which had interesting information on the history of the Tablelands.

Absolutely amazing ! We stayed in "the mountain view" glamping tent, the beds with comfortable, dishes , pots , towels , heater , a BBQ, everything you would need for an amazing camping experience, all you need to bring is your clothes and food. The bathrooms are clean, the shower is amazing. We will definitely be back again ! One night wasn't enough.

Spent 2 nights mid August. Surprisingly well maintained and not busy. Great location to explore west Gros Morne. Newer washrooms and shower. Hospitable and pleasant staff. Will return.
