This was a fascinating, beautiful place, a bit off the beaten path, to stretch your legs and get a little bit of an environmental education. It is also a good cause, restoring salmon to this river is a noble endeavor and one that can only improve the region's economic and environmental health. My then seven-year-old daughter got to see some salmon in the ladder too, we were quite lucky (see photos).

Very nice centre explaining the re-introduction of salmon to the river and the preservation activities going on. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. You can see some salmon in the river here too through. Definitely worth a stop.

Salmons did not show up on the day when we were visiting! Entry fee was discounted for that reason!

An amazing experience, showcasing the incredible effort and great work that has been done to rebuild the salmon stock in this river. Few places give you a good feeling about paying for admission. This one does.

A nice overview of the salmon in the area, along with a history of the Torrent River. The underwater viewing window where you can see the actual salmon in the river is pretty cool.

A must stop! The fish are jumping here. Dozens of rhe remaining laying about the fish ladder that we could see through the viewer station too.
