This station is an iconic example of modernism in Canada. It featured the \Arc-en-ciel\ until 1990. It was a system of rainbow-coloured neon tubes on the ceiling, that pulsated synchronously with the train's arrival and departure. It symbolised speed and movement, and gave the station a surreal, otherworldly atmosphere.

This is a nice subway station. It’s conveniently located right by the Yorkdale Shopping Centre, having a walkway connecting to it and the adjacent GO Bus station. This subway station is a little small, but it has frequent service to Vaughn, Downtown Toronto, North York, and Inion Station, which is pretty nice.

This station provides easy access to Yorkdale mall, but is way too small and cramped.

Due to renovations (which have been going on for almost 2 years now with no difference?) they have closed off a section of the line 1 subway staircase that leads to the yorkdale entrance. The space they have created for people to walk is super constricted as it is closed off on each side, only making it possible for one way travel and it is made out of some type of wood material which makes it dimly lit as well. This honestly makes me feel kind of uneasy and unsafe, especially during the later hours - I was hoping this wasn’t a long term thing and would only last a couple weeks or a month at most but I’ve noticed that its been this way since the summer and its January now. I’m not sure if I explained this well enough but if you’ve used the staircase recently you probably know what I’m talking about. I just hope someone at the ttc reads this and attempts to fix problem, the least they could do is place a person at the top of the staircase maybe? I’m just concerned because of the recent influx of violent individuals/incidents I’m seeing on the ttc and I don’t want anyone to get hurt.

A little bit small for one of the busiest stations
