My go-to health food store. Good selection of products at good prices. If they don't have what you're looking for they can sometimes order it. Service is fine and anytime I've asked a question the staff have always done their best to help.
I've been shopping at this place for 9 years \only\ if Essence of Life doesn't have my products and not once have the owners smiled or said hello to me, assuming they are the owners which are the ones that manage the till when you pay. They are the most unfriendly, cold and unappreciated people I have ever encountered for a retail store. Hands down the owners and staff at Essence of Life are super friendly and helpful. Shop there if you need anything...and Jean is amazing.
I've been shopping here for decades. It's a great health food store to support with lowest prices good selection of dry goods and supplements. I love the folks running the shop as they help me find what I need, will even order special items and they carry the absolute best eggs I've been able to find in Toronto. I always have a smile on my face and I'm always greeted the same way. I love this store and feel grateful to have them in close proximity to home. We're all lucky to have them offering us natural high quality food that one wants to ingest.
Similar to numerous customers' experience here, I found some good deals on select products but the customer service from what appeared to be the owners was consistently disgraceful. On multiple occasions when I made purchases, I noticed contrasting treatment of different customers (and visibly rude attitudes and behaviours towards myself) for no discernable valid reason. My hope is that the owners will notice these reviews and work to improve their service attitude, for the sake of future business.
