We love our walks daily on Cherry beach and enjoy photography around the beach, the water and windsurfing club. Always a colorful array of sails and great wind surfers. Was there this past Thanksgiving weekend and within an hour took over 200 photos of windsurfers and sails.

Fantastic club to learn to windsurf at. Amazing instructors Simon, Max, Nicole and countless volunteers. Everyone is super friendly and ready to lend a helping hand if you ever have a question about gear, wind and technique. Toronto is so lucky to have this just 10 minutes from the city core at Cherry Beach.

The club is situated in a great location with storage available onsite. For members not willing to drive there are bike racks conveniently placed by the clubhouse. Unfortunately I have seen some beach goers trying to trespass on the private grounds to use it as a washroom. Luckily the police did their job very well. Members supervise their property with amazing dedication and the place looks very well maintained. They even turn the sprinklers on, usually in the evening, to keep the grass green and lush in spite of the heat. This lawn is used almost exclusively for rigging their elaborate gear, the fact I have seen disregarded by some beach visitors, who would start tossing a ball around thousands dollars worth of equipment. But in general, the public is very respectful of the members and their activities and it works both ways: the Club marked a narrow launch passage to the water to make the beach safer for everyone. Every member is eager to talk to anyone with any questions about the Club and their favorite sport and I could not recommend it highly enough to check them out!
