Two years of my life and money I’ll never get back. Where to start. Well look first off all these aren’t teachers or instructors. They are people who either work(ed) or had a cup of tea in the industry and they AREN’T teachers. It’s a clique school full of only 1 percenters and if you aren’t a favourite they will not take care of you. This school is full of false and empty promises. It’s a stain of my life that I regret so much. Never in my life did I feel more unsafe and anxious in a environment where I didn’t feel I was being accommodated/respected despite dishing out close to 42k (yes 42 thousand dollars) for this school over a 18 month span. Dave, I know you will read this and I truly wish you did more to protect me from when I had other students go out of their way not once, not twice, but 3 times trying to get me in serious trouble and ruin my career there. While I am grateful you took my side behind closed doors.. I wish you did it more publicly and spoke to those students who went out of their way to try to bring me down/falsely portray me.

There’s no other school that offers such a hands on experience. It is clear the instructors know what they are doing and provide an immense amount of knowledge that students in similar programs around the country don’t have access to. Tuition is high, however, take one tour of the school and you will realize that it’s necessary. I’ve had an unbelievable experience in my first year attending, and have learned and done things I never thought I’d ever get an opportunity to do. David Lanys and his staff couldn’t be doing a better job.

I’m currently in my first year at the College of Sports Media and I’m loving every second of it! I’ve already learned a lot about not only sports journalism, but journalism more broadly. The practical, hands-on experience taught by leaders in the field is outstanding and truly unique. CSM provides the tools and guidance necessary to succeed in the field. I can’t wait to see what second year brings!

Do not waste your money on this school. They don’t care about you or your education/future. Save your 40k for something better

I went to CSM for private media training and I can't say enough about the excellent experience I had there. David trained me personally on the fundamentals and worked with me in the studio until I was confident in my new ability. He was incredibly professional and a learned a lot. Thanks so much, David and CSM!
