We continue our services packages at Sylvan on an ongoing basis because the frameworks, templates and rubrics applied are systematic and provide exceptional results -- impacts include: confidence building, perseverance, improvements in aptitude, mastery of curricula, strengthened communication skills sets and excellence in the public school system requirements and beyond. We Love Sylvan. We have worked with them for quite a while and we feel like we have gotten our daughter caught up with her classmates. Recently diagnosed with ADHD, she struggled to keep up sylvan has definitely helped steer her in the right direction. The only reason it doesn't get 5 starts is because it can get quite costly.

Sylvan Learning Centre was a very positive experience for my daughter. They helped her close the gaps she had in her knowledge of math and her math grade improved as well as her confidence. They were very flexible and accommodating to her needs by supporting any specific help she required with her current school work while continuing to work on the curriculum designed specifically to help her improve her overall math comprehension and ensuring that she had excellent tutors.

I sent both my boys to Sylvan when they reached Grade 7. My boys are of average intelligence but did not have a good foundation in Math at their local elementary school. This all came to light when they went to a school which delivers a sound math program. The Sylvan initial assessment showed us where their strengths and weaknesses were. The teachers at Sylvan filled in the gaps, and along with my boys' dedication to the program and work during their sessions, they were able to help my boys reach grade level. As a result, their math marks improved and they show much more confidence in Math than they did before. They also realize now that they have to practice and work at Math in order to improve. My boys enjoyed going to Sylvan - it is a quiet, studious environment and they love the prize incentives. I will continue to sent them to Sylvan for as long as they need it.

If you are looking for a result oriented learning centre which follows your child's footsteps till she or he reaches the destination, then this is the place to be!! Well developed Sylvan curriculum, technology enabled education and constructive interactions between the teachers and students in a low ratio (t-s) environment help students to perform at their highest ability. An excellent team of well qualified, trained teachers headed by a capable centre director ensures a well paced learning environment. I would recommend this place to parents who are looking for that additional support for their children.

To get individual attention when there is a low teacher to student ratio is the best way to learn and since each students' program is custom designed to suit their needs, gaps in learning are quickly and effectively filled. All Sylvan programs, for any age group, be it reading, math, writing, homework support, SSAT preparation, SAT/ACT preparation, have a rich variety of materials but the most exciting addition to the learning experience since the fall of 2013 is the use of iPads mainly for reading and math students. In addition, the writing program is phenomenal because every aspect of the writing process is carefully taught and students get to choose topics they are most interested in writing about. Overall, the environment is fun and stimulating as a balance of instruction, incentives to learn and interaction amongst students are encouraged. The teachers are very knowledgeable in their area of expertise and professionally deliver the individualized curriculum. As a tutor at Sylvan, I've had a positive experience at this particular location and am confident other teachers and students will as well.

As an Ontario Certified teacher, I highly recommend enrolling your children into Sylvan's learning program! The child's needs are ALWAYS a priority whether it is SSAT prep, EQAO prep, literacy test prep, homework support, beginning reading, math, English or writing, Sylvan has a program that is specifically catered to meet the specific learning needs of each and every child.
