We showed up prime time on Saturday and waited only about 5 minutes. We ordered about 10 dishes and everything was very good. Supposedly Markham outshines any downtown spots, but coming from Queens and Manhattan Chinatowns in NYC, this place was on par or better than most spots in New York. Not as good as Markham, but great when you don't want to make the voyage out to the burbs. I gave the restaurant 4-stars as the service was typical of most dim sum spots, especially when you are a non-Chinese speaker.

I appreciate restaurants that continue to operate during COVID and I tip my hat to them. But I need to be fair with the food. My general comment on dim sum in Chinatown is they are not very good. The rice roll 腸粉 is too thick, the Siu mai 燒賣 is just a shrimp wrapped in ground pork. Proper way to do it is hand chopped pork, but most places now use ground pork. It lacks flavour and texture. I tried to call in to order to skip Uber so that the shop can keep more money. But unfortunately no one pick up after multiple tries in 10 mins.

I went here for lunch will colleagues. The overall experience was enjoyable and I would most likely visit again. It was the first time I tried squid tentacles and it was quite delicious. The batter on squid tentacles was light and the texture was crunchy. The squid wasn’t over cooked and wasn’t too chewy. It goes great as an appetizer with the Siracha sauce. Mushroom and fungus dumpling was spectacular! Actually my favourite. Mixed Veggies was a close runner up. Shrimp dumpling was also pretty good, although I thought it was too plain and less flavourful. I think the tea (Jasmine I believe) could be a little bit better, too light for my liking. Now regarding the plastic table sheet, I mean come on guys it doesn’t take that long to clear a table and clean it, stacking layers of plastic sheet just to save a few minutes just looks lazy and not environmentally sustainable. The restaurant itself doesn’t look too bad, there’s ample space for large groups in the back. The waiters were efficient and cordial. The food came out in a timely manner.

It’s affordable price and the dishes are very tasty . The food comes very quickly once you hand in the paper. Definitely one of the best dim sum restaurants downtown. The only problem is how busy it can get on the weekends. Its also open late night which can be nice after a night out.

Great dim sum. Fills up quick on the weekend mornings - come early at 10 am for a table, no wait. Came with a party of four and left fed and happy.
