Ordering this dish but I am so disappointed. This restaurant used to make fresh ones. The pork and steamed egg tastes like leftover, very dry. I hope the quality of food here improve after this review, and I can go back to support your business.

Far less than exception..!!! Dinner was served with real hot and fresh food, although we were unable to choose the right kind according due to our non Vietnamese taste and may be that's why could not appreciate it. very delicious hot tea was served along with dinner. The place was crowded and service was very good.

I visited Com Tam a week ago and really enjoyed it! I had the beef pho and my boyfriend had the chicken and veggie stirfry with rice, which were both very delicious. It wasn’t difficult to get a table, as soon as we got in we were able to be seated right away. The portion sizes were great and just the right amount for the price. The service was good, and everything came out at a decent time. Would definitely recommend coming here after doing shopping in the area, because you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be coming back here again!

Being Vietnamese Canadian and raised by a relatively traditional family with traditional southern Vietnamese cuisine, I’d say Com Tam 168 holds true to their house speciality - which is ‘com tam’. Com Tam is translated to ‘broken rice’ - you can take this literally. Too long to explain, but back in Vietnam (if my memory serves me right) broken rice was collected after the rice harvest because these were deemed as not ‘regular rice’ grains. Broken rice is essentially broken - look it up! You’ll notice that when you order any Com Tam dish that the grain of rice is fairly smaller and looks ‘broken’. Anyway, this is a rather long explanation lol - they make a pretty good version of this specialty dish. My mother used to make this for me and it always brings me home. Give it a try. Many combinations to try but if it’s your first time outside of the usual PHO, order Com Tam Suong Nuong - grilled pork on broken rice. I promise you, you’ll be hooked! I know I’ll be back.
