Montecito is a really great spot to eat - one of my favourites in the city. It has a great, relaxed, but upscale vibe to it. I can see this as a great romantic spot to bring a date if you sit in the dining room, but also a great lounge that oversees the street. The food is exquisite. I really enjoyed the creativity and the burst of flavors that came from each dish. We tried quite a few but my favourite hands down was the risotto. Not overly heavy, but full of flavor and that creaminess you expect from a risotto. I had a chocolate allergy and they were even able to accommodate that with something off menu! Truly a place that cares about the experience of their guests. Highly recommended!

Great service, even printed our friends name on the menu! Very nice touch. Nice food not overly priced for lunch! Wednesday is summer had a 1/2 price any wine option! :)

Great service and nice patio. We ordered pizza which wasn't on the menu but we saw it on another table and they said they will make one for us. It was very yummy. I give 4 stars because it was very pricey. 19 for a small pizza it's kind of a rip-off. The Caesar cocktail was 12.

Awesome patio and atmosphere but a bit pricey. I ordered the burrata and would've liked more cheese and less sides. Service was very good though.

Amazing food - interesting menu, great quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. Restaurant is nicely designed and service is very good as well. Been there twice and liked it both times - highly recommend for a dinner before going to the theatre which is right around the corner.

The desserts have not been the same for a few years. The pasta dishes are quite unique compared to the surrounding reso's that occupy the beaten road we know as Adelaide. Haven't seen the red headed bartender in a while. This place has come and gone in the light of this industry for the past 5 years. I can only hope a new approach can rebuild this once monument.

This is a farm to table Californian restaurant with an Italian flare. We have been here a few times and every dish is well crafted and executed. While the restaurant is owned by a film director, it's not one of those Toronto big name restaurants that's opened by business folks purely to earn profits. This is a very much "chef driven" restaurant. What stood out most was their desserts - Lunch and dinner. Their pastry chef is pretty creative. Their waiters are also very well trained. Our waiter knew how each course was cooked, and what detailed ingredients were used. His notes on wine recommendations were also spot on. As their menu always changes, my wife and I would definitely revisit! If you are looking for a cheaper option, go for lunch and their 25 three course was a good deal.
