I hired MixTape Photos to do some professional photos for my Freelance Graphic Design business. I had an initial meeting with Sam who went over some of the ideas I had and explained how he would be able to achieve the looks I was going for. On the day of the shoot he had everything organized and scheduled for 5 different looks in 5 locations. Sam was very knowledgeable throughout the process, explained what he was doing and why he was changing lenses or adjusting lighting etc. He definitely exceeded my expectations of the final images and I can't wait to start using these images for my brand!

I began working with Sam at MixTape photos several years ago. Originally it was for some family photos for gifts, then we hired him to photograph our wedding, and most recently we asked him to take newborn portraits and 1-year portraits of our son. Sam has always been thoughtful, patient and managed to get images that we love, gift and frame. Over the years I have also contracted Sam to work as a freelance photographer for organizations I work with including with the Canadian Cancer Society to do high profile photography with Premier Kathleen Wynne and Deputy Premier Deb Matthews. After I left the Canadian Cancer Society they have continued to contract with Sam for big events like our MPP Education Day at Queen's Park. As soon as I hire a photographer for my new employer I will definitely be looking up MixTape Photos and Sam.
Saajid was amazing! We had a low key wedding reception and needed a photographer who can capture candid moments while blending in with the crowd. He did an amazing job and the photos of our guests were phenomenal. I would highly recommend Saajid - he listens to his clients and delivers.
I hired MixTape Photos to capture our dream destination wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Rep. and was super happy I did. The resort had provided their in-house team of photographers to shoot our wedding, but I wasn't confident in their abilities despite having a '5-Star' reputation. I hired MixTape Photos. Sam (Saajid) and his assistant were talented, professional and exceptionally creative not just in the final output of the photos but also in the way they carried themselves amongst our guests which was really important to us. Their attention to detail and the great lengths they went to get the perfect shot was first-class. I was thrilled with the quality of photos I received. We had some of our photos printed and distributed amongst family and they were equally impressed. Hiring MixTape Photos was one of the best wedding-planning decisions I made. Saajid Motala is an artist who posses an uncanny ability to capture his subjects in their best possible light –revealing the quirks, quarks and subtle idiosyncrasies that make them truly one of a kind. I hired Saajid to photograph my two young daughters in May 2015 and can’t wait for the next opportunity to work with him. I have no doubt that Saajid's work will one day hang on the walls of the MoMA and the Tate Modern, so book him while you still can.
