Gave this place one star, the required minimum to post a review. I tried calling on Friday afternoon, and at different points this Monday morning. Only the machine picks up. I don't know for certain if this place is still open. It should be. I called my physician's office, who again faxed them my requisition form. I've left two messages. Their machine says they will get back to people within 1 business day. Nobody has yet tried to reach me from this imaging centre. Again, I have the impression that they are closed, perhaps for an early holiday. Reading the other reviews (80% are negative), coupled with the extreme efforts in reaching a live person who will pick up the phone, I definitely feel uncomfortable in trusting this place for my medical needs. I called my physician's office, and asked to be referred elsewhere. This other nearby place, has picked their line up EACH of the two times that I've called, and also has mostly positive reviews. This location's apparent unavailability was perhaps a blessing in disguise.

Had the worst experience speaking with the receptionist when looking to book a mammogram. I'm Clearly pretty shook up about finding a lump and getting a req to get screened for cancer, but the way in which this receptionist told me that my doctor was wrong for ordering a mammogram rather than an ultrasound was so jarring and not at all helpful. We had a full on yelling match about me asking to be booked for a mammogram and her saying she will not do it because I'm under 35 (I'm 31 with a history of breast cancer in my family). Apparently her employer was sitting right beside her and was fine with how she was speaking to people looking to book an appointment. I called my doctor back and told her what happened. She said it's rediculous and that I definitely need a mammogram. Don't waste your time here. Looking forward to getting the copied and pasted response that seems to be popping up on all the negative reviews. No I don't want to email youto discuss further. Perhaps it's time you just reevaluate your business practices and communications skills.
Arrived 15 mins early to my ultrasound as I was instructed to, appointment screening downstairs in the lobby told me I was half hour early and would need to wait when I in fact had the correct time. Reception staff was rude and asked if I “really saw this doctor?” looking at my referral sheet. Wait time was quick. Change rooms didn’t have doors that shut fully (just panels on wheels) so multiple staff members were walking by me and within feet of me, as I stripped to my gown which was incredibly uncomfortable and felt invasive having my body exposed. My technician was fine though she talked quickly and hardly looked at me as I explained the pain and reasoning I was coming in after she asked, it felt as though she did not care what I had to say/my experience. Hardly any explanation about the procedure and methods; given it’s quite an invasive and potentially anxiety-inducing experience. There was literally a sign on the door of this office that said “Do not speak unless your Technician asks you a question.” That seems cruel. No check ins with asking how I was doing during the procedure, asking how I felt etc. I panicked in silence. Was told I would get my results in 3 days and it has been 8. Called them asking where this was and reception told me it looked like they never sent the results to my doctor after all. I would not recommend KDIC to anyone unfortunately. I hope some protocol and change to make patients feel more welcome and taken care of.
Not sure why the ultrasound tech thought it was appropriate to tell me to lose weight during a breast examination.
I'm saddened to see so many negative reviews of this place. I have always had great experiences here. The staff and technicians have always gone above and beyond to accommodate me, and have managed to fit me in for drop-in appointments easily. I am very pleased with their service.
