Ganga is a wonderful therapist. She's made me feel very at home in our conversations and creates a safe space to open up. She is a compassionate and involved listener, gently guiding you to the core of the matter. What has really helped me: her warm presence and simple but strong suggestions on how to break certain destructive patterns and build newer, healthier ones connecting more deeply with myself and others. I feel more attuned to my own needs and emotions, and more equipped to communicate those to others. Agree with the previous reviewer that her "focusing" sessions especially are very powerful. Can highly recommend to anyone.

I've done lots of personal development work so I'd say I'm pretty experienced in this kind of thing and know something good when I see it. Ganga is very good!! She is patient, compassionate and skilled. If I look at my last 5 months since I've been seeing her, my life has drastically shifted. Don't get me wrong, nobody fixes things for you. You have to want to look at yourself and want to explore. Simply by doing that a lot of things take care of themselves. She has been an excellent facilitator for change. She's been a huge part of the changes that have happened in my life. No doubt about it. HUGE! Her "focusing" sessions are really powerful. When she first told me about them I knew she was right for me because she understands that real lasting change happens below the level of thought and within your emotions and body. I highly recommend Ganga! Give her a try and see for yourself.

I have had little success connecting with therapists in the past. Whether or not they were busy, unavailable, or I felt they didn't understand me, it was discouraging. The first time I spoke to Ganga on the telephone, I knew she was different. She listened and acknowledged all of my problems, instead of classifying some of them as less important. She asked me what I felt was important to me and we worked from there. Talking with Ganga during our sessions feels very safe and non-judgmental. I was always sort of skeptical about going to a therapist because of the stigma surrounding talking to someone, but after all of my visits with Ganga, I feel very normal and I always feel listened to and understood. I am always discovering new things about myself and increasing my self-esteem. In addition to that, I have gained valuable communication skills that allow me, when in possibly conflicting situations, allows me to step back, view the other person with more empathetic eyes, and successfully resolve the conversation without additional pain caused.

She was more concerned with getting paid than she was in helping me. This woman charges 150 CAD for therapy but offered me a first session at 125 because I'm going through a hard financial time. I appreciated the gesture but it didn't matter after my first (and last) session with her. I arrived at her condo and Ganga led me to the area where we would begin. She picked up this clipboard full of papers from a chair to hand it to me so I walked around her to choose a seat across. She sternly says, “No, that’s my chair you’re sitting in. I was pointing the clipboard towards this chair because this is your seat.” She expected me to know exactly what she wanted. This was my first time ever in therapy. I was feeling nervous. She told me to fill in the stack of papers—which was just “Were you abused? Yes or no” type questions and contact/address info. She also said that filling out the papers would cut into my 1 hour time. Now I only have 45 minutes to talk which is why she suggested I pay for 1.5 hours instead of just 1. All her clients are supposed to pay her before every session. I should have walked out but like an idiot I thought I should still give her a chance. Maybe I was so desperate to unload. I sent her in Interac E-transfer and while I filled out her papers, she kept refreshing her email to see if the payment made it through. During our session, she seemed biased. The expressions she had on her face seemed like those of judgement instead of a person who wanted to just listen and help. Ganga definitely set the bar for what NOT to look for in a therapist. I told my current therapist about my session with her and he said it wasn't right.
