I've only had a cot here, but the staff are quick and friendly, they don't overfill themselves so things stay breathable, regular shelter food (eg ground beef with mashed potatoes), the shower is excellent. They only let people who WORK have permanent residence here. They keep your mail as well. If you are thinking of working here, please be aware the place (and all other shelters) is full of people who have been to prison and can be unsavory -- be wary of being assaulted by the clients here, it does happen
Excellent facilities, respectful staff, clean environment, the way other shelters should emulate. A good stepping stone to get back to the road of independence. A job well done, city of Toronto.
Been inside, It s clean, bug free to the best of my knowledge. Staff needs some sensitivity training though. Residents are have mix culture and ecnicity, addicts, recovering addicts, working poor etc
While I applaud this type of service and all the good work they do, I wish the clientele would cease loitering at my building, smoking weed all day and night, relieving themselves in the bushes and littering. Peace.
