This is definitively my favorite sushi restaurant in Toronto, the food is amazing and the service is excellent. The decoration is beautiful, the place is sparkling clean, and the owners and servers are very friendly, very nice ambient overall. There are so many food options in the menu that it is always hard to decide what to eat, they have literally anything you can imagine, it is not your traditional sushi place, it is always a great experience with tasty yummy food! I would 100% recommend this place anytime.

There's so much to choose from on the menu, I had a hard time making a choice, but I was happy with my order! Menu prices were decent and the service was good. Loved the atmosphere. I'd definitely go back again!
Even before this pandemic, D and Y sushi was our favourite sushi restaurant in the west end. Anticipating our 'weekly weekend take out' from this restaurant is something my family looks forward to as our busy week comes to a close. The restaurant is inviting, clean and the owners and staff are hospitable, kind, gracious and will go out of their way to accommodate any special needs the customer may have. Their food is consistently fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. Portion sizes (also including ginger, wasabi, soy sauce, chop sticks, etc.) are generous. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality of the dishes and the amount we are receiving. We love that we are able to purchase their small bottles of sake too. It makes our meal at home complete. Their phone is answered regularly and after placing our order, it is always read back to us for confirmation. Our orders are always complete with nothing missing. So we don't get disappointed, we often will plan ahead, place our order in the late afternoon and set a time for pick up because they get so busy. We strongly recommend D and Y sushi . It is an amazing west end gem. We can hardly wait until they open for 'in person" dining again.
I often take my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The the cooking is fantastic and the stuff is attentive and cooperative. Whenever we go to this place we have a pleasant time. warmly recommended.
Typical fare for a la carte sushi restaurant. Good for a quick lunch. Service was fast, food is just okay.

Poke bowl didn't taste super fresh, not much variety in it...a little disappointing.
The food tasted fine, but the maki rolls I ordered for dinner were snack size; I have never seen such a tiny portion when ordering dragon rolls in any other Toronto sushi restaurant. The ten rolls were equivalent to the size of five rolls from another sushi resto. Needless to say, I was still so hungry afterwards. **Suggestion to the restaurant**: please please use less plastic! We had only two dinner orders, and a dozen various plastic containers! Tip: please put the ginger and wasabi in the same container that the meal comes in; make the meal containers larger and fit everything into one. And if you can use paper-based takeout containers, even better.
