The best escape room in downtown Toronto! Two of my best friends and I came to Captive to celebrate my friend's birthday, and we had such a fun time throughout the game. We did the \Charlotte\ theme, and we loved that the escape room was designed in an attic setting (we did get a little bit cold tho). Such a fun game with different rooms inside, and a variety of different puzzles to solve throughout the game. The puzzles were well thought out and good balance of difficulty. The staff were really helpful and friendly, they also have board games, leaderboard, photo wall available. Can't wait to come back for another game sometimes.

We tried the Charlotte's Attic and it was amazing! The staff is really sweet and helpful and the room was amazingly done. I would definitely go again for a different challenge! Recommend 100 per cent!
I absolutely loved it here. I went into the Dracula's Library room, this was also the first time I've escaped a room! Once I entered this place, the decorations wowed me. I would definitely come here again sometime. If you want scary themed rooms, this is the right place for you.
Awesome experience. We've done a few escape rooms and wanted to check one out when in Toronto to see if Canadian escape rooms rival those in Britain, Captive was highly rated and did not disappoint. We did the Charlotte room and we're genuinely blown away by how authentic this room looked, like something out of a horror movie! Definitely do this room in the evening as that adds to the atmosphere, we we're jumping out of our skin at the slightest sound in the room, but it was always our imagination running wild! :D Puzzles we're great and challenging, Unfortunately we didn't get out in time but the staff gave us extra time to finish which was awesome! We were laughing for the entire hour, other than the time we were jumping out of our skin that is!
