Came here for Toronto's Summerlicious festival. We were able to try a subset of their menu. The portions are quite large and filling. We ordered the brie and bacon salad as our starter as well as the escargot in curry sauce. The salad was delicious, a reasonable amount of brie on a lightly dressed bed of mixed greens and bacon. The escargot in curry sauce was creamy and flavourful - if you like strong cheese I would recommend this dish. For main we ordered their lamb shank, which was fall off the bone and served with large helpings of mashed potatoes, beets, carrots and green beans. Finally for dessert we got their lemon cheesecake with raspberry coulis. The cheesecake was light and the lemon taste was smooth and not overpowering (not tart). I would definitely come back here again to try their other offerings.

35 3-course prefix menu has very nice choices - great value! Came here on a Saturday night with two friends and we had a great time. We all ordered from the prefix menu, and found the food had good portion and taste. Appetizer: I got escargot in creamy curry sauce, and my friends got calamari with greens. Generous amount of seafood in both dishes, and everyone liked the creamy curry sauce a lot! I wish more bread could be given. Main: two of us ordered duck confit, one friend ordered seafood linguine. Both were tasty. My only complaint was the duck confit dish was a bit oily overall, since the vegetables were also pan fried with a lot of oil. I’m not a huge fan of pasta, but I really liked their linguine! Dessert: we came pretty late that day (reservation at 8pm), so although they have 3 types of dessert in total, the only option left was the lemon cheesecake. We were a bit disappointed when knowing nothing else available, but later turned happy since the lemon cheesecake tasted nice.

Absolutely loved Cafe La Gaffe! Unexpectedly discovered it after visiting the AGO. Great menu selection with friendly and attentive staff. The nicoise salad and artichoke omelette both tasted great.

Service was super friendly and professional. The food was amazing. I got the seafood risotto and it was one of the best risotto's I've ever had. The rest of my group enjoyed all their own meals equally. They have outdoor seating in the front and the back. Easy 5/5 for me.

While they still serve the same menu, their staff kitchen might have changed. I used to love their Natasha eggs benedict for the way they will cook red peppers & leeks with smoked salmon. Ordered it today and they just put orange peppers barely cook, no leek, big pieces of chopped onions, and there is barely no salad on the side when it used to be...
